Prosecutors claimed the victim and his friend, from Banbury in Oxfordshire, were "lured" to "one last meeting" with the defendants in a Tesco car park in the city, under the pretence of returning the money.
But the Bukharis and accomplices attacked the pair, pursuing Mr Ijazuddin's Skoda along the highway in Leicester in multiple cars, intentionally ramming them from the roadway, the court case revealed.

Nevertheless Lord Justice Warby said Mahek's response to the blackmail was "disproportionate" and it was "difficult to see a genuine connection between the victim's actions and the events on the A46 that led to his death."
Nevertheless, he agreed Mahek's "youth and her acknowledged lack of maturity were insufficiently considered", and should have "exerted a significant reducing effect on the sentence length."
