The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international break, however can the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Tottenham this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.
In the twelfth round, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' latest record, Knees Up, is out on Friday.
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."
Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football side," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for several seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.
I still think this fixture will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
This smells of a 1-1 tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they do look strong again.
West Ham's sole on the road victory this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.
Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will choose Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season started, but they have surprised a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four matches.
My son told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
The singer's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be rather tight. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
It is a massive fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
They have have plenty of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.
But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
This is a hard one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
