Admittedly, it's Packed with Gibberish, Over-the-Top Hospitality and Psychobabble. However, I Honestly Love Meghan's Holiday Special.

No matter the time of year, it's perpetually open season for criticism on the Meghan Markle's televisual offering, With Love, Meghan. Critics, expert and amateur alike, have seldom found such common ground as when gleefully ripping the lifestyle show's earlier episodes to pieces. The prevailing view was that a bigger monarchy-related faux pas had never been witnessed than the much-discussed pretzel re-packaging incident.

Now, like a merry renegade master, she makes a comeback for another round with a "Festive Special" (or a holiday episode). But this time, things have shifted. The usual elements we've come to expect – psychobabble word salads, extreme hosting – persist, but framed of a yuletide episode, it all clicks into place. The pieces have fallen into place; it's a perfect snow storm.

At this stage, Meghan resembles the oddball family member at most festive family gatherings – dispensing unsolicited, unnecessary advice, and contributing the odd random outburst. ("I love spinach!" … "A tradition has to have a beginning." … "A tree is part of my memory and love of the holiday season.") She's an interesting figure, but her company is customary and unexpectedly soothing. And she appears content; she's causing any harm.

She is aware her every micro expression, utterance and glance will be dissected and judged, but manages to seem carefree and too blessed to be stressed.

Perhaps this is the only time in history where that old chestnut – "Pay no mind, it's only envy" – could actually be true. Because, in all honesty, everything in Meghan's Holiday Celebration is charming. Yes, it's all awkwardly over-the-top, foolishness and flamboyant – but is that not exactly what Yuletide is all about? And the words she speaks might be absurd, but the life she leads genuinely looks impeccably styled.

Whatever she turns her beautifully manicured, diamond-adorned hand to, she executes with panache. Her culinary efforts looks delicious, the wreath she crafts is breathtaking, her gifts are practically too exquisite to unwrap. Nothing is ordinary or visually unappealing – including the way she ties her kitchen garment is artful and chic. She doesn't throw a meal in the oven, it "goes for a spin", and she creases gift paper like an origami guru. She also seems to be thoroughly enjoying herself from start to finish. How could any skeptical viewer not be charmed, filled with seasonal cheer and left with a intense desire for handmade crackers or a crudites platter where broccoli is organized in the form of a festive circle?

Meghan had a career in acting for a living, obviously, but despite that, after the degree of attention she has endured from the moment she started dating Prince Harry, the love child of acting royalty would have difficulty behaving this authentically. Her unwillingness to change or even moderate her persona, regardless of it being so constantly, internationally ridiculed, is strangely reassuring. In our volatile world, here is one thing we can count on: Meghan will remain herself, whatever happens. We will forever know where we are with her.

If you're remaining skeptical of her brand, a thought that will surely come as a relief: you aren't required to. The UK has abolished the draft in this country, and if there were, it would be improbable to include viewing With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. If, however, you decide to tune in and are gripped with envy about her idyllic Christmas, you can take solace either. Be you a duchess or a office worker, no kid fully understands the time and energy their parent puts in in December. So you can take heart by picturing the young royals' faces when they unfold a calligraphy note that says, 'I love you because you are brave,' from a handcrafted holiday countdown, instead of a chocolate.
